Asmuss supplies to Waitematā DHB $200mm North Shore Hospital Upgrade

Waitematā DHB is undertaking major works at the North Shore Hospital campus to meet projected population growth in the Northern region.

The $200 million project includes the construction of a four-story hospital building with a new elective unit expected to provide an extra 120 beds and four operating theatres.

Additionally, the water, gas, and power infrastructure will be upgraded to ensure these services are resilient enough to support the hospital for the next 30 years.

The work will be undertaken in stages over the next three years and the new building is due for completion in 2023.

Asmuss was engaged to supply PE Pipe, EF Couplers/fittings, PE Gas Valves, Di Valves/fittings, including:
  • 600m of 250mm SDR11 yellow Gas pipe.
  • 1100m of 250mm SDR11 Lilac pipe
  • 1100m of 250mm SDR11 Blue pipe.
  • Large number of fittings – 75 x 200 Resilient Seated Valves.
